Don't you have a flywheel already?? heh

I have a Fidanza flywhl and the ASP pulley. Both work well together. Both are worthwhile mods.

Install for flywheel. Same as for the stock unit.

they are made of aluminum, so they weigh less, and less rotational mass means more usable power, wich is good, what else is there to really know?

I've only driven a bone stock VE 5spd one time, and the biggest thing I noticed was how much easier and quicker mine revved than the stock one, and that's due to my UDP and aluminum flywheel. Together they really do make a substantial difference

And jarrod.. you do have a flywheel already, just not a light one

Whose flywheel exploded on the engine? Would like to have the pic here now... If KS is a killer, lightened [read: will not dampen harmonic crank wibrations] flywheels are bombs.

Flywheels do not reduce harmonics.

i have a fidanza in mine and it definitely makes the engine rev must faster. surprisingly my maxima has better throttle response than the mr2 i just got. even with the lower compression and leaky everything it revs much faster when you blip the throttle (which is very surprising when the mr2 has a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder)

i bet a lot of it has to do with the lightened flywheel. its definitely much lighter than stock and definitely helps out a lot. the only downside to them is launching tends to be a bit more difficult but its easy to learn once you've used it a bit.

I have heard nothing but good things about upgrading to a fidanza flywheel, and have one here awaiting installation. I do have hesitations about the UDP, as my black leather interior (which I love) requires a lot of a/c cooling, and the UDP will only reduce the effectiveness of the a/c. Comments?

Pure misinformation... The ASP UDP will not affect your a/c or heat.

Black leather interior here with an Unorthodox and my a/c is frigid.

any UDP will make your compressor turn slower which could cause reduced effectiveness.
will it be noticeable?
not likely.

Thanks guys, for the feedback on the UDP. Now that my misinformation has been corrected, I can pursue that mod without reservation. Can't say enough about the good spirited nature of 3rd Gen Maxima owners. You guys are great!
