I A A idle air valve....

I was playing with with car and cleaning my K&N filter. I adjusted the timing jsut a tad bit, and I was looking at the idle air control ....the thing under the TB that you use a star screwdriver to adjust, and you adjust it basically by turning the screw left or right...
I was wondering what it should be et at and when Im adjusting it, how will I know when its at a good spot? The idle doesnt change very much when I adjust it, but I can tell there is a difference....should I have it almost tightened all the way? almost lose all the way, or inbetween?

I think that theres a test or prep to perform, for instance if one were to install a new one. Im not sure but i think it involves turning the screw all the way in and turnin the key to the on position with engine off and letting the comp adjust it itself. If Im wrong then somebody correct me cause Im not that positive.

Yeah your wrong, DON"T TIGHTEN IT ALL THE WAY. OR MESS WITH IT UNLESS YOU idle too high or low. It's too late to think... but you need to play with your ecu before turning it. IT's all in the FSM.
