Power wire on the '93 Max

Hey guys,

Does any of you have an easy/safe way to run the power wire from the battery back to the amp in the trunk? I tried to run it through the firewall but by all means I couldn't.

If you have pictures or a website that shows how to do it...

I appreciate the help.

Thanks!

I ran my amp power cable (that now runs between by 2 batteries instead) under the car, and armored all sections that would be exposed with reinforced high pressure water hose...the stuff you can't hack through with a sharp axe in less than 3 swings

Might be smarter to just take somone elses advice and run it inside the car though..you'd PROBABLY use a shorter length that way...took 25 ft for mine to fit with about 1-2 ft of slack, but it was easier for me to do it that way than fit my fat head under the dash to see what I'm doing under there.

I made use of an existing harness entrance on the driver side. The harness has a grommet around it, so just make an incision for your power wire. To keep the grommet as a barrier, use some liquid electrical tape on the area that you have cut. This will prevent the grommet from tearing any further and act as a filler seal. Have fun... it's tight in there.

I liked the grommet in the fender well. Take out your driver side front tire, and the plastic shroud (not sure of a better word for it) -- behind it there is a big big grommet that is probably only like 15% used up. Drill a hole, got my 4ga in no problems. You'll have to fish a tiny tiny bit through from the hood area, but if I can do it I'm sure anyone can
