Clean the injector connector and measure it's resistance across the connector. If you can get at it.

Jeff... i wanna get your opinion on this.....a buddy of mine said that to get an accurate reading on the injectors, it is best to disconnect the negative terminal.

ask your buddy why does it matter? you're just measuring the resistance between the 2 terminals on the injector itself. nothing else should be connected to the injector. the resistance is internal to the injector itself.

he's probably thinking that the electrical current from the battery, since it is grounded, can interfere in getting an accurate reading????? i'l ask him tonight.

you're not taking resistance from a ground point...it's resistance from the injector and only the injector. it's like pulling the injector off the car and testing it...do u need a ground cable there?...nope.

Are you sure the wires are installed in the proper sequence?

I have the same problem (the missing at idle). i changed all the stuff he did, and i checked to resistence on 4 of the injectors. I coudlnt get to the other 2. All the injectors were changed about 6 years ago, with Nissan ones.
Any ideas???

take off and clean all of the electrical conectors on the injectors with carb cleaner, i had this problem on my old max and there was some corrosion on the connectors, and by the way the 1990 vgs do have a knock sensor its just located in a different place

Uh, yeah they do actually, don't post invalid information.
And they can cause an uneasy idle. Easy way to tell if the detonation sensor is bad is to run an ecu self diagnosis.

or do as Wiking say's and:

Just use an ohm meter at the subharness and check each terminal (going to the KS) to ground (battery negative). Resistance should be around 0.5 Meg Ohms (500,000 Ohms). When mine was bad it read 5 Meg Ohms (5,000,000)
