Removed rear seats to check for rust recall..
So I took out the rear seats last night to check for rust in the area of the infamous rust recall. I only found one 1.5" square that is flaking near the top portion of the backseat in the area, the lower parts are fine it looks like. However it looks like Nissan was in there before, they put on some adhesive rubber type of material almost like dynamat, was this the resolution to the TSB back in the day?
If you can't get the recall done. I'd scrape and then apply a very thick oil based primer in there. Basicly the nastiest, goopiest stuff you can find to protect the metal paint in there. It can't be seen so.....

also remove the back seat, and check it out
after reading the previous thread about the recall i pulled the rear seat and found no sign of rust, however my vin # came up as "not serviced?" could i have lucked out, or am i doomed and just don't know it?
