injectors....

hey, i'm in hurry but this is the short of it, i have a 1991 max SE and the injectors i fear are reaching the end of their teather, i've already replaced one at a high cost and know another one is going bad. I've talked to a auto repair place and they charge 250 flat rate for the labor of installing up to 6 injectors. the problem is that they want to charge 160 per injector, is there any other option for me to get a better deal? automart, any ideas? thanks

Do you have tools, time, and mechanical ability? If so, I would save the $250 labor and do it myself. Then get yourself some injectors from Alex V or Internetautomart. You'll save money and, hopefully, feel good about your self sufficiency.

cool, thanks for the advice, with the labor costin 250 im not eager to have someone else do it, so how would i go about replacing these injectors? since the VG's injectors are buried quite deep, what do i need to get to start and how long would it take? i know someone who has the tools so i'm thinkin that i'd need a service manuel as well, though i don't know from where to get one. Any other comments and ideas are appreciated.

You can usually find the Nissan FSM(factory service manual) on ebay for a good price. I got mine wicked cheap. In case you don't find one in time to do your injectors, pm me with your email and I will try to get you a copy of the relative pages from mine. Good luck.

I plan on doing mine this weekend or when I get back from New Orleans. I plan on taking pictures and doing a small write up. Brian (Internetautomart) has been a great help and I purchased my injectors from him for a very fair price. AutoZone has a good walkthru on it (see stickies)
