headlight issues

My right headlight wont turn off. From the time i bought the car about a month and a half ago the right headlight wont turn off. I have just left it unplugged because i have had more things to work on, and now i have made it far enough on my list to fix this problem. If the headlight is plugged in it is always on, when i turn the car/lights off it stays on. So any ideas?

fix the light switch. take it apart, clean the contacts, and bend the metal a little bit so that it's not making contact in the "off" position. or you could just get another light stalk/stem (whatever you call it).

The left light goes off though. Its just the right one that stays on. The light switch works fine, it controls the left one like it should. The right one just has a mind of its own... so i doubt its the light switch itself...

well, it wouldn't hurt to check. that's how i fixed mine. my right high beam wouldn't turn off, and when i took it apart, i noticed that it was making a connection in the "off" position.

i think all you have to remove is the steering column cover (right behind the steering wheel). i think there were 6 screws holding it in. then 2 screws hold the switch in.

Well i got my dad to look at the repair manual which has the wiring diagrams because we thought it was the relay, but according to that manual there isnt a relay... can you tell me where the relay is, or direct me towards information about it? Thanks buddy

High time have functional lights - and a relay. Better to see... Use your functional light as source for the relays.

Also take a look in the underhood fuse block to see if the fuse is burned or melted. First guess woud be the relay, second burned wiring. I had a problem with mine that hte headlight would not turn on. Now it's jsut mickeymoused to the left side so they both light up and function properly.
