JWT pop charger instructions & other queries

anyone have instructions on installing one of these? i bought one from a fellow orger but i think i need some hardware. i have the adapter and filter mounted (removing the stock intake is a real PITA) but it's not very well supported. i have the bracket also but i feel like i'm trying to put the square peg in the round hole.

also, has anyone tried to cut off the little resonator-type part of the intake tube (the one between the MAF and the throttle) just after the MAF?
if so, what did you close up the hole with and how did it sound?

look at wikings site. He took off the resonator and closed it with a piece of pipe... I used his idea and took mine off and closed it with duct tape because i was going to put a rubber gasket over it, but i didnt have time and the duct tape held. When i put a pop charger on my VG engine it wasnt well supported either... the filter rested up against the fender and eventually wore some paint off of that area.

duct tape huh?...i was wondering just how big the hole would be once the resonator removed...if it can be duct taped i suppose it's not too big

Leave the resonator there.

i was hoping for maybe an argument as to why..

is it really that loud without it or is there some other mystery reason that you're trying to keep secret?

considering the cutting and all that's involved it's not one of those "try it and see and if you don't like it just put it back" sorta deals

If you want a real midpipe, I can sell you a Cattman midpipe. People argue back and forth as they want aftermarket/stock stuff and it usually gets nowhere. I chose to use my stocker for my own reasons but I do run a custom cai. Here is a pic w/ the cattman midpipe.

Oops you have a VG sorry about that. In your case, just remove and plug and see if you like it or not. Will add some noise if you are into that sort of thing

total newbie question but based on your answer i'm presuming that a simple intake swap won't resolve the issue - these are different blocks altogether-correct?

The JWT will fit fine. You might be able to buy an ebay cai for the Accord that might solve your midpipe problem. Do a search for it.

My engine bay? It's dirty as hell.

Use the stock airbox bracket holders located on the "frame rail".
