my ac vents =D

hey, I know this was in the stickies for a while, but I just didn't think i needed it until now.... and of course I can't find it anymore. It was a thread something like, smell mildew or mold in your vents or something like that. Basically when my AC isn't on but the vent is, I smell a bit of a mildewish or moldy or just kinda moist air. It goes away and its very crisp when the AC is on. I think the sticky said something about spraying something in the something. BUT that is all i remember

Too many stickies are stuck before u find any hlp... That smtg is found in a carsprayshop; they'll know. If not, walk to next. Any way to get it into the cooling unit is 'legal'; from outside and/or recirc vent. I suppose the spraybottles have adequate info.

Usually it's due to buildup of junk inside the cowl vents.. (the black thing near the windshield under the hood)

spray some lysol or bleach in there and let it sit a while, then hose it out and turn on yur fans to circulate some air through there..

I pulled mine off a few days ago for some other work, and you'd be amazed how much crap gets around the covers up top!
