Any luck repairing cigarette burns in Cloth like this?
Just wondering if anyone has found a good way to repair cigarette burns in cloth seats. I have a 1991 SE that obviously was owned by a smoker at some point. They left this lovely little gift for me, just wondering if there is anything out there to repair cloth seats and what others have used on this style of cloth and color/ Thanks in advance for any help,
Jason.

I bet if you took it to a good interior shop they could figure out something. My friends dad just got a G35 and he burned the headliner with his cigarette, and he took it to an interior shop and they fixed it up.

if you can get a tiny bit from under the seats, maybe where it's stapled, and glue it to the back of the fabric so the angle matches up, then maybe iron a patch over the area on the back for reinforcment, the use some tools to mesh it all together to make it look as good as possible for example, scraping the black circle or just cutting it before applying the upholstery platch (not the reinforcment). it could end up looking pretty good if you take your time.

This way, it just will still bug u, looking at it every time u get in the car...ehe. Sewing a new seam might hide the whole thing off; thats for pro.

Well, they are now anywhere from ~11 to ~16 years old. Finding a decent one is hard. People move on. But not me.

the repair kit at autozone/pepboys is good, its actually the same type of stuff the pros use. the only problem is that you dont have velour type seats that the cloth has some plush to it. thats what those kits are designed for. you'll be able to cover it up, but it will be as big of a sore thumb once fixed because you'll notice it. i say leave it alone, a prospective buyer should realize it's a 12 yr old car and you probably didnt own it it's whole life, things wear and tear.
HHHHHHHHAhhhhhehhheeeeee, I just wanna see clips of that on the road with 20's. BTW, where are the E-town clips?
Idea: Remove the vg, tranny, and cv's. Replace it with a vgett with a 300zx tranny, connect it to a custom drive shaft, and then into a j30 rear end. Might as well since you need to come up with something for the rear end.

seriously, it would be a good idea, but i'm not THAT mechanically inclined. as it is i already cut it all up and it's been sitting for a year. granted, its because i decided to worry about my house instead of the car. i actually had contemplatd dooing a ve5sp swap. that;s pretty much bolt on bolt off and a bunch of wiring, but im not really into speed, just cruising low and slow. it'll be out next yeat with a 4th gen rear axle in it.
e-town movies were being hosted by jason(n34jz) but it was taking up too much space on his site, so he took it down. email me and i'll email them to you. and i never drove the car with the 20's btw, i put them on and took them off to move the car because they rubbed in the back. got it to my house, put them back on, and it stayed in the yard. i think the wheels have like 20 feet on them, lol.
