Finally, new rims (pics inside)

Hey guys, I just got new rims like a week ago, but I just barely got a digital camera to take the pictures with

So here they are, 17x7 Motegi Track_Lites 15lb per rim + the weight of the tire.

they were 280 a piece for the rims, not sure how much the tires cost me, but the whole deal was about 1500 including labor. I got daddy's good buddy special discount at tucker tire. yay

http://turbobee.mine.nu:3000/pics/92max/

let me know what you guys think!!

Something's off in pic 14. Your car looks a little too large there. I don't like the paint job either.

Yeah i don't like the way your car sits. U need to lower it asap. Cause right now for some reason, I don't like those rims, on a car in which you can see a big fenderwell gap.

dude, your license plate has the last same 3 letters as mine... and we're both in AZ. We're also both pearl whites, and soon to be both on eibachs... TRIPPY!
BTW nice rims, sometimes i wonder what lighter rims would feel like for performance.

well I can tell you that I didn't feel much of a difference, except that my friend (99 se) kicked my *** with his new full exhaust

On the bright side, I didn't feel any loss in performance either, and these tires grip the ground like no other

I have read some guys rag on Motegi rims, but I really like those. If I wouldn't have found mine, I would likely have those or something similar. Excellent choice, IMO.

I have 13.5 lb Centerline RPMs (17x7) and I can definitely tell the difference in acceleration and handling with them on vs. stock. The handling of mine seems a little more "darty" and at first it was a little strange. I also weighed mine and each is about 8 lbs lighter than the stock wheel/tire combo.

Man that last pic there, has something in the background in the sky. It's like a flying saucer. Was that on purpose or what? Or am I the only one who is noticing that?

noticed the UFO too, looks like it could be just a really fast bird... I agree about the drop, but that pinstripe needs to go first!

P.S. one of your wheels cost more than what I got 4 of my Cobras for...

i like that tread pattern on your tires, very aggressive!

as for performance, you should have better off the block times, because your rims are lighter....with that whole unsprung weight thing.

the ufo and big rig give character to this thread.

i guess the last thing i have to say is......why the helll you wanna move to the northwest? u must like the cold.

thats the original pinstripe

I'll have my car repainted pearl white and the pinstripes will be removed, as much as i like the classic look of stock.... I've had enough. My windows are getting tinted on thursday or friday too. As for the track, maybe just to see my 1/4 mile times, but not real racing. I'm going to get a mustang to beat the **** out of, because my maxima is too precious to beat on it that hard. Trust me though, I would kill to take this thing to a track and beat the **** out of it all day.... but I'd probably blow something up. Mustangs are good for that kinda thing

17 inch rims look kind of small on the max. I really would like some 18" rims

I like the way the rims look, will look worse when you drop it, imo..course..it may be having to drive over curbs and 8" deep potholes has influenced my taste in how cars look..

Nice wheels. Black on pearl white is tight. Now just lose the pin stripe, get some tint, springs, and clear corners and you'll be mackin all the honeys.

I think you have us confused with the Northeast. The average high temperature in my town during July and August is about 95 degrees. The average rainfall is I believe 14 inches a year (most of it snow in the winter), which classifies it as being in the desert. It's not as hot as Arizona, but it's pretty warm here, nonetheless. We average around 300 days without rain. Portland and Seattle are probably more like 200, though.

Portland and Seattle usually get less than 5 days a year with any measurable snowfall or ice. I know that in Ohio, you get far more than 5 days of snow a year. I don't know exactly what you mean by cold, but it's not up here in the moderate Northwest.

The only places in Oregon that it's really cold are up in the Cascade, Blue, Siskiyou, Steens or Wallowa mountains. Washington is pretty much the same. Desert in the east and mild in the west, with the only cold weather being up in the mountains.

Not that I want any of you dopes to move up here, but I want to make sure you know what it's like. Right now it's about 70 degrees with no clouds and about a 5-10 mph wind.

No problem

I work outside all day, so I kind of need to know what the weather is like.

160 I believe, but that was a few weeks ago in class so I'd have to check my notes

yeah, that rear plate is definately a bother, my uncle the previous owner, I guess he broke the screw off on accident because of rust. So a new hole was drilled. I need to drill out the original hole and mount it properly. Until then, I'll just have to go ghetto style.

On a second note, all of what was recommended, the clear corners, springs, and probably some others too I already have on my things to do list . Just got my new bushings today, and my dad is doing my tint tomorrow or friday. Anywho thanks for all the opinions. It helps
