I have made my mind.. I'm going to swap my engine to a 300zx-turbo engine, but I need some help locating one. My friends neighbor does engine sawps and told me he would do it for me for cheap if I get a hold of an engine. What i need is help selecting what engine to get, like what year z to get it from.

The guy told me that it wouldn't be necessary to buy the hole engine but only the turbo since the z engine and the max are both v6 3.0L, but arent the engines from the z's modiffied to stand the turbo??,

Well either way "I WANT A TURBO CHARGED MAX!!!!!!!" so any help will be greatly apreciated.

 

it might be a little easier to swap the 300zx motor directly since it is already made for boost. if you sawp the turbo onto your stock Maxima motor, I think you have to do some work with the engine's internals(like Kaleb is doing) if you want to make the boost any higher than probably stock(and thats the whole point of the swap!!)...wait for the "Turbo Lovers" (Skymax, Maximamike, etc.) to answer this question, they'll have more definite answers!
