Power Mirrors Switch---Light?

Power Mirrors Switch---Light?

Does the power mirrors switch light up when dashboard lights are on? (cruise control, defrost, and dimmer switch all light up, but i never noticed if the power mirrors switch lit up) Thanks

No, there is no light for that switch (except the led indicator if you happen to have heated mirrors, but that's for 92-94 models I believe)

This is going to be a silly question, but would models without the switch have heated mirrors but could only be used if the switch was with the car?

Yea, i would think that heated mirrors are only installed if you order the car with them. BUT, how would you know if you had them if you didn't have the switch...like, if someone swapped your switch on your car? Is there a fuse or somethin?

I doubt someone would swap out your switch...that wouldnt make any sense.

The heated mirrors on third gens will have a sky-bluish tint to them on the surface.

OK, do all 3rd gen maxima's have blue mirrors? and then the ones with the heated mirrors have another shade of blue on top of the blue?

dunno if all the third gen have them, I used to have a 91 SE with no heated mirrors, and they still have the blue-ish tinge to them. From what I can recall from my past junkyard trips, the mirrors are no different from the normal mirrors, it just have the added functionality.
