Pic of my Maxima/Bose garage stereo

I had two full sets of useless Bose speakers and amps, two speaker cabinets I made 20 years ago and never stained or put any components in so I decided to make a stereo for the garage. Of the two Head Units I had at least one had the radio working. Right now it is wired to my trolling motor battery but it actually sounds pretty good!!

I cut some plastic anchors in half and used them as stand-offs. Screwed through the corners of the amps and through the anchor so the amp is surrounded by air.

hehe very cool man. be careful though, i heard those BOSÉs aren't very reliable. you should really consider going aftermarket when you get a chance

I've got 2 extra Bose HU's and amps if you need them when it blows.

Good work! Me likes.

Does either one have a working tape deck or CD player?

Neither are CD - both tape. In truth, it's been so long since they've been out I don't know what is working. Both decks and the AM/FM functions were working when pulled, but I recall one of the HU's only outputting to one side only (this could also have been due to the poor wiring at the time, so there may be no issues with the HU at all). I guess I could draw some power from my batt and test these. It's been a looong time. But I've got everything. 4 amps, 2 OEM front brackets, 4 speakers, 2 HU's.
I also have Infinity Kappa Perfect 4x6 plate speakers, which were the first speakers I bought to replace the factory units for the fronts.

Creativity is the mother of innovation. I also have xtra speakers laying around and no garage stereo. Nice!
