I'm new to this site so I'm sure my question has been answered numerous times before. I own a 89 Maxima GXE, I was wondering if I could change my digital cluster over to one from the SE (white faced). If so what would be needed.
What motors are drop-in replacements for the GXE, would the 92 SE motors drop in?

Thanks

The digital cluster to analog will be a PIA to replace. I wouldn't try it.

Same with the engine. the only thing you can somewhat easily drop into your car is another VG engine. to dump the VE (92-94SE) would require new transmission, computer, wiring harness, most of the other stuff under the hood, etc etc etc.

by the time you did all that, you'd pay more than the car is worth in parts and labor. You'd be best off just selling your car and buying a newer one.
