i was replacing my front brakes yesterday and after pushing the driver side brake cylinder all the way in, it doesn't come out anymore. i was having a hard time pusing it inward [compare to the one on the passenger side] so i decided to flush its brake fluid. so after i got it in, and replenish the brake fluid back into the cylinder. the cylinder just wouldn't pop out anymore when braking. i trying pressing on the brake padel many times to pump more brake fluid into the cylinder but it just would pop out.
the passenger side brake work fine thought. my guess is that there is a leak some where. (i was checking too but didn't see anything.) either that or i need a new brake cylinder.

i'm gonna replace the back drum brakes too today to see if that's help solve the problem.

anyone have any ideas what's the problems or suggestions?

I think you need a caliper. Sounds like the piston is frozen inside the caliper. I suggest a new brake hose also

They are generally referred to as caliper "pistons" because otherwise you can get them confused with the brake master cylinder, which pushes the fluid to the calipers. A remanufactured front caliper shouldn't be much money at all -- pick one up at your local Autozone / NAPA.

rear drums brakes ? i think you re wrong , or maybe your max got rear drums brake , who know ? it would be the first time i see that

did you bleed the air out after you refilled the fluid? if not you could have air which could cause the piston to not come back out when pressing the brake pedal.

yeah i tried unlocking and locking the brake fluid joint to release air and pump in more brake fluid with the brake pedal but still it ain't working. i'm gonna try it again later on today if not i'm just gonna get a new brake caliber.

sup y'all. i finally got it to work. as it turn out there was too much air in the caliber. this time i had better tool to work with. i used one of those bottle with a hose hook up to it. so when i plug it in to the brake fluid release joint and pumping on the brake pedal i can see the a lot of air bubbles coming out. i didn't know there were so much air in it to begin with but it's cool now. thanks ya'll for the helps and suggestions.

now i got another problem. i can't get the big nut in the center of the rear drum brake to come off. it's screwed in pretty tight. i'm gonna used some wd 40 later today when i work on it again to see if it help. it's weird how you have to unscrew that nut to pull the drum out on the max. the other cars i work with aren't like that.
