Bad mech

I noticed that the mech who did the spark plug the last time on my car ( before i do ) damaged the thread on the 1st cylinder hole . Oh , the sparkplugs can screw , but it goes not as deep as the others ones . The car run great anyway , but i wonder if the difference between this one and the others ( 1/8 inch ) can do something about fuel efficiency or motor problem ? should i go i have a mech ( good ) retap the hole , so the spark can go esaily to the bottom ? or leave it like that ? thanks

i think you can leave it i doubt you will have a problem unless it is actually loose, ie. it wiggles.

Correct it as otherwise soot boilds up on the exposed threads [inside]. Also it is now leaking. I would take WD-40 and work the plug down; 1/4 turn in ½ out, 3/4 turn in etc. back and forth. Take off clean, do it again... Now if u lose the thread, only after this do make rethread.

If u can get a threading tool, that would be worth its price, or do one from u old plugs: grind groowes along the lenght of the plug, into threads.

Btw. Dont go this place... Why pay ruining u engine as u can DIY?
