Parts Car Help

I've researched, read, and doused myself in enough info about the 5spd swap to want to do one-oh and not to mention my tranny lost 3rd gear and reverse for no apparent reason and just got rebuilt for the second time under waranty. (not the solenoids and anything else you can think of).

With that said, I'm determined to do this within the next couple months but i'm having a large problem finding a parts car. I am not too interested in buying each part separately. Ebay seems to be the only option other than this site that has anything realistic and viewable, but there doesn't seem to be any 89-91 se or 89-94 gxe's in my area that even have a 5spd at all for that matter.

Am I blind to some special site for parts car's or does one even exist? Where did you guy's find your parts cars?

first of all, you wont find any 89-94 GXE 5spds because all GXEs came auto from the factory

check local junkyards around you (and keep an eye on the for sale section here)

Doh, show's how much i know about gxe's. Junkyards around here only sell the used parts. If i'm not mistaken this method would be more $$?

The axles aren't the same between a VG and VE 5-speed.

Not too interested in changing the axles and hubs. in either case the selection is limited.

Well if you can get a 92-94 at a good price it would be worth changing the axles because the VLSD is a favorable thing.

if he can get a complete VE5 it's a fairly straight swap, but he'll need an alignment afterwards
