new stuff!! =)

Hey, I know this has all been done before, which is why I did it myself... but the results were so nice I had to post a few pics. thanks to awsm66, (90% of my inspiration), I got a new shift **** (AE), new booties for e brake and shifter; and an ichibahn e brake handle. Anyways here are the pics... lemme know what you guys think.

The shift **** and e-brake are sweet. The tan tweed should be black leather, though.

The pedals aren't that expensive, but you have to kind of fabricate them to fit. Several guys have done it, including MrGone. I am far too lazy, or I would have them, too.

I don't know if I understand how you replace the e-brake handle. Is it difficult?

doesnt look plain white to me. super white is much brighter than those pics. Sure some of them are over exposed and are really bright but if you look at the rest you can see the car is oatmeal instead of really bright white.

xtmphan: Cost break down....

AE Shift **** 60$
Ichibahn E-Brake Handle 25$
Both boots 60$

total cost: 145 O_O wow I had no clue this cost me so much to do.

Maxima_Mike: you have to cut the rubber stuff off your ebrake so all you have left is the middle bar... then the new handle just slides over it and two screws hold it in place. Very easy install for everything.

btw my car is pearl white, but it's probably faded over the years. I mean I still have that teal pin stripe going around the sides (wonder why they did that). after I get the stillen body kit (whenever i have enough moola to afford that) I'll be repainting the car pearl white.

awsm66: I was thinking about doing that.....

Mizeree_X: hmm... thought I'd check out your car since awsm66 copied you... I like your suspension setup. Just wondering, where did you get the following parts?

*SUSPENSION*

- Otto Racing Front Strut Tower Brace
- Blehmco RSTB *NEW*
- Whiteline (Aus) Front Sway Bar with Poly Bushings *NEW*
- Addco Rear Sway Bar with Poly bushings and BlehmCo reinforced links

Been having a hard time finding a place with all of those parts

lol I didnt copy him. He was joking because he had them before me (except the boots...I had those when they first came out thanks to Dan but had them on my auto) but that doesnt mean I copied him.

I sanded the texture off using various grits of paper (sorry I cant recall now what they were) then I used a good plastic adhesive promoter and sprayed a good automotive primer (one you mix and spray from a paint gun not a spray can primer), then I sanded it smooth and re applied as needed until the finish was perfectly slick. Then I sprayed PPG base and clear. Again not rattle spray can stuff but actual paint just like whats on the outside of the car. You will not get that kind of look (you would know if you saw it in person) from a rattle can spray paint...but you can get it to look really good using spray cans...just not as good imo. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it...it looks factory and not just painted interior pieces. Ok enough bragging on myself (I usually dont do that lol).

When it was blue it was perfect but I got some small runs in it when I re did it in silver and never sanded them out because I was lazy .
