Wow I love the color combo. But offhand the tires look to be the wrong size. And it looks like you are going to do some rock crawling in that maxima. I hate to even think about what tire size you would have to run to get the dia to the correct spec but it would look fantastic with a drop. A bit bit IMHO but what the hell, looks nice.

It should be a 225-40-18, but to me those look like 235 or maybe even 245's? Just a wild guess though?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I work at a f*cking tire shop. I hate it how you always doubt me. Look at our website and it'll say that for an 18" wheel, you'll need a 225-40-18. Oh wait, look at Tirerack.com too, and oh yeah, they say that you'd need a 225-40-18 also. Oh, I'll even provide the links for you too.

if you are running maybe a 7 inch wide wheel i would see 225, but still 235 is the right tire size. minus one more for discount tire. hehe

1) 215/60-15 is NOT the correct stock size.
2) Just because these "sites" recommend a size, doesn't mean is the correct one.

Did you even LOOK at the #s I gave you?? Which one is closest to the oem 205-65-15??? Geez, I would think the ONE person that would understand this SIMPLE thing would be someone that works with wheels/tires everyday.

people that do it everyday are usually the most ignorant of the reality outside of what corporate tells them

That website doesn't say that 215/60/15 is the "correct" stock size. He probably knows that 205/65/15 is the factory spec....that website specifically states that 215/60/15 is an "optional" size that "will work on your car." It never said its the only size in that diameter that can be used.

Doesn't really matter. The tire size that the site recommends is less accurate than the size I recommended. That is really the whole point.

Don't even bother trying to argue with Jeff guys. He'll argue with you until he can pull out some mathmatical bullsh!t answer to what you're saying. It's not worth it, don't waste you're time with it. Just go along with it and let him think that he knows everything and that no one's opinion or thought matters except his.

Oh and BTW: I do know that 205-65-15 is the correct tire size for our cars because I HAVE THEM in my basement. The tire size on our website is, as said, an optional size that you can put on there but, not the OE size. Generally, if someone is running a different tire size on their car already, then we'll just replace them with that size. All you have to do is lift up the arm rest and it'll tell you everything about our tires.

What is closest to the original size BALLA? The size YOU recommended or the size I recommended?? No opinion involved. Cripes you're thick

To recap (like it's really needed )

Balla's expert choice. 225/40-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.1in 78.8in 804 -1.6%
Jeff's choice. 235/40-18 3.7in 12.7in 25.4in 79.8in 794 -0.4%

EXACTLY where's the opinion? That mathmatical bullsh!t is a biach, isn't it?

I never said that the 215-60-15 was the recommended size in the first place? It's an OPTIONAL size! Check this out, I think my company can back their knowledge up!

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireSection.do;jsessionid=CpShBXxTnLdBqN5v1NyY 8Cv6G4mYTTkhfr2TTGVGQ2myLpSV21lk!701352596!NONE?rc z=46077&mk=NISSAN&rc=INIINT&yr=1993&vid=006345

Hmmm, looks like that's the correct factory tire size. I first of all never even started saying anything about our stock tire sizes. Then, you misread this whole freaking thread and you come out with some 18" tire talk? They're 19's that they're talking about, I just was saying what COULD be run on the car for 18's, then you totally blow it all out of proportions and start posting these math percentages and measurements in inches that who knows where you got and you start saying that you're the one with the correct tire size. We have OPTIONAL tire sizes on our website for a reason. People have choices in the tire world too. Some people don't care to look at those numbers just because the percentage isn't correct for their car? Here again, that's why it's an option. Next time, look at the headings on website before you start blaming people for having "wrong information"?

Yeah I could run whatever size happens to fit on the wheel. Doesn't mean anyone SHOULD run that size. Then again to YOU, running wheels/tires that rub on the strut "almost fits".

That one has KYBs with Intrax springs. I assure that it doesn't look like a 4x4, even w/o the kit. I can barely get my floor jack under the frame rails.

Stutter? Why do you ask if I stuttered? Did you ever grow up, oh yeah, NOPE!! Dude, you're 37 freaking years old and you're arguing with a 19 year old. For real, just drop it and move on to annoying someone else in another thread.

Being wrong hurts, doesn't it? You kill me man. Yeah, I'm 37, it's that the best you got? You need to learn about your business more vs trying to flame someone that corrected your mistake.

You sound like you're ready to blow a gasket.

Man this hurts my eyes. All Jeff is trying to say is that the size he is recommending is closest to that of OE spec such as overall diameter and width. The speed sensor is calibrated to a specific rpm of the tire thus calculating the mph at which you are traveling. One size less may equal to you think you're going 55 and you're actually doing close to 60. One size too big then vise versa. Then with the width you must make sure you're not rubbing the struts. You can get spacers or you can get a better fitment tire. Most choose the better fitment as it saves a headache.

will there be any difference if you run 215/60/15 rather than 205/65/15?? I know the correct size is 205/65/15, as stated under arm rest. Is there a "bit" more grip on the road with the 215/60/15's??? Any downside to running the wider and thinner tires??
