help needed: messed up electrical problem

hey everyone, got an issue that I've been dealing with for a while, and its getting rather redundant. I have to remove the lower left fuse from the fuse box(controls power windows, locks, sunroof, seat belts) in order to start the car, if I leave it in, the key just turns over, doesn't make any attempt at starting whatsoever. If anyone knows where I should be looking to fix it, i'd be very appreciative. Mind you, it only does this about 90% of the time, theres occasions where I can start the car up just fine, but it is a rarity.

try unplugging the alarm below the dash and see if that changes things.

this one is just too weird

so when you take this fuse out, the car starts up right away all the time with no problem?

when the fuse is in the car only rarely ever starts? when it doesn't start, does the engine crank over at all?

are you 1000000% certain that the fuse in question protects the circuits you noted?

yes.
yes to the irst part, no to the second. It will not even make an attempt to crank over.
Yes.
This is a very tricky one for me to try and figure out, and I cannot even fathom how much it would cost in a shop before they even figured out the problem. I'm going to go try out the alarm thing right now, that sounds fairly plausible and will at least eliminate one variable.

my mistake about the sunroof however, that is controlled by a different relay.

I had a similar problem, tell me, do your door locks work all the time? My lock control had at least one bad connection and that was keeping the alarm from getting the signal telling it the door was unlocked with a key (turning off the alarm). Worth a shot no??

I as well have a similar problem. When I turn the key, my car makes no attempt to start either. There's no cranking... nothing. But it only happens to me 10% of the time. The rest of the time it starts fine. And when it doesn't start it'll sometimes kick in if I sit in my car and keep trying long enough.

And also, my power door locks (and keyless entry) do not work very often like you asked, CyMax.

I found a website that explained my starting problem exactly and after days of trying to figure it out, they said all that needed to be installed was a universal battery terminal connector. I did that, and still occasionally get the starting problem. Shucks. And the starter is brand new as well, so it's nothing to do with that.

You should check that both of your shift cable bushings are in place. they are nylon and at both ends of the shift cable. The one under the shift selector is above the heat sheild of the cat. convertor. Both are like $5 at the dealer. The car will not start if the ECU doesn't see that the car is in park.

This may be found out by playing with the stick around N; if it helps in starting, the thats it... Via bypassing the inhibit relay these electronics problems are bypassed to pinpoint the source.

Another issue is ign sw, starter circuitry, groundings, oxidized connectors & wiring.
