I miss my maxima...

2 months ago I got a black 89 with a messed up tranny. Hadn't had the time to work on it at all. (or the space) So last week my bro sold me his s-10. Its great, It looks great, its in great running condition, the only problem is syncros for 1st and 2ed are toast. The truck and tranny have 216K on them, but engine has 35K or 65K. So im going to get a junkyard tranny this weekend. Its a 5 speed tho and I love driving it. Its got the 2.2L 4cyl, and my maxima def has alot more power, and I miss it! Next week a bunch of friends are going to cedar point, And Im going with. It would be alot easier if I had my max! My s10 is only a 2 seater....Sigh. I miss the all power features too. But my s10 does have a perfectly working sterio. Max never did.

Ive been wanted to drop in my wrecked max's v6 in the s10 but I know its impossable. Too bad it would really wake that truck up...

I get out of school this thursday so I'll get fixing the max very soon! and I cant wait!

you can drop the VG in, but it'd be easier to fix the max's tranny

What a depressing trade. From cruising around in a Max to manhandling a S10 around town. Fix that car... Fast.

Alex, take a whole day and devote it to tearing out both trannys and putting in the good one and call it a day. then you can unload that crap-10 on someone else. then we can race

Depending on the year of that S-10 it can be made to run and handle pretty dam well.
of course that does require a motor swap, but that's easy

If anyone would be nice enough to host a vid for me, I can show you guys what an S-10 can do with a motor swap. The vid is an older model S-10 eating an SS LS1 alive. amazing vid and funny to watch.

I'll have plenty of time to do w/e I want after thursday, thats when I get out of school.

Then I'll get the max's ready, and then I'll start tearing into the truck. I'll do lots a mods to it, I'll keep the 4 cyl for gas price sakes, and my dad would kill me. I still have to pay off the maxima, insurance, and the truck! But the s-10 isnt that bad. Its very dependable.

Even after I get the tranny done in the max I may not drive it for another week or 2, I need to fix the speakers, and some small stuff. But other then that its pretty much nearly ready. I am keeping both, the s-10 is lowered alot and sucks big time in the winter. Im going to raise the rear about an inch, its lower then the front and looks like crap....

Cant wait to drive the max, even tho its an auto!!
