5spd swap

5spd swap

ok im doing the swap from the se (5spd) to the auto gxe 1992 years ...
and i got the auto tranny out already and i was looking at the se .. and theere is a hole in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder that isnt there on the auto so am i going to have to drill this hole or has some one gone around this somehow . ?? can someone help me im kinda stuck ...

You have to drill the hole I believe.

yea, drill it but be careful this is the trickyest part of the swap, or at least it was for me

Use a drill. Measure the new (you are installing a new one right?) master cylinder for dimensions for the holes. This is not the hardest part of the swap, not even close.

Here is the only Journal page I wrote from my swap. Someday I will complete it.

just make a template from the 5-speed donor car and then put it over ur current car and make the template with a pen, pencil, magic marker, which ever works for u and just get a right angle drill and make the holes. this was the easiest thing for me so it won't be hard for u at all. enjoy.

hey todamax thanks for that write up ... that was kinda the idea i had but i just had to see some pics thanks any tips would be helpfull from someone who has done this already ...

as do i ... but im waitin g on new parts .. like master cylinder act clutch ... just **** like that .
