My friends and I took the Max out for a little spin. I told them it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a bark out of 2nd gear. They didnt believe me. They even drove it. No 2nd gear excitement.

I used to get 2nd gear chirps whenever I wanted in my step-dads old '92 Sentra XE. Why cant I on my Max? Tires??

Is it easy for everyone else to get a 2nd gear scratch with their VG 5speed??

i think with a y pipe and intake

or maybe just the intake if your wheels are not stock and are lighter than stock but i believe vg is only like 160ish in stock power but with a 5 speed you should be able to burnem in second and if you used to be able to do it, i recomened that you change you air and fuel filter and if they are fairly clean, it wont hurt to change your transaxle fluid and maybe even put a boost in it of some transaxle treatment off the shelf

Well the Y pipe is coming soon. But its AFTER I get the exhaust manifold studs get replaced. The CAI is AFTER the Ypipe and studs.

Maybe a tune-up wouldnt hurt. Theres no reason I shouldnt get a scratch. Maybe a short shifter wouldnt hurt either. Anyone got links or info on a short shifter??

Sorry, I have to poke a little fun at you here...."usually always". What does that mean??

Anyway...with all those mods you just get a chirp?

I would bet anything its your clutch. Put a high performance clutch in there and you will probably chirp third.
