I am finally beginning to really like this car!

I just got back from the longest trip I've ever taken. I started out on Long Island, NY (alone) and drove up to Port Huron, MI (about 700miles) through NJ,PA and OH. After attending a wedding, me and my fiance drove home through Canada, making a stop in Niagara and driving down through NY. Total milage in a few days driving...1600 miles. The car held up great! It took me a long time to like this car after giving up my beloved 200sx but now I respect and even love this car. The oil was not even a tad burned and no smells or problems what so ever. Its nearing 4000 miles since the last change, and so she's gonna get some nice fresh oil today. I even got great gas mileage, after I made the "mistake" of accidently using 93 instead of 89. The higher octane seemed to smooth out the slight shake and gave me better gas mileage. I got over 400 miles on a tank while using the AC and doing 75-80mph.

I have a question for you guys out there, I noticed that while near a big truck (even as far as 150 ft away) it feels like the car is swaying side to side, I never noticed this until my long journey. Anyone else ever experience this?

Not really, by the time I usually even see a truck, i'm going too fast and they're already in my rearview mirror.

I drive trucks and the swaying is normal.. even I get sucked in by another trucks turbulence and I'm driving a 18 wheeler... there is so much wind getting pushed around the trailor that at the end all that is left are gust of uneven winds, so your car is getting caught in it..

to get away from it you either have to drive close to the truck(from rear)or pass it...

I pull 2 streetbikes on several trips a year and still get 24mpg.

and if you drive directly behind the truck... you get killer mileage, though you will probably die eventually from doing so.

Problem with that is recaps flying off and ruining your car!

If it is excessive (to the point where you have to actively maneuver to balance out the swaying) you may want to take a look at the condition of the rear-struts or the rear sway bar, for that matter.

Swaying is normal. When on a long trip, I am trying to stay close to a large truck to save some gas and the car feels like the tires are low while behind the trailer.
