Gas w/ ethanol - bad for injectors???

Anyone have some factual info on whether gas with ethanol is bad for the fuel injectors on Maximas? I've had trouble with the injectors on my car before and the dealership I took it to back then blamed it on gas with ethanol added. They replaced several on warranty though. Lately I've had some trouble with another injector and am wondering if it's because of ethanol gas that I may have unknowingly put in.

ethanol is added to fuel in certain areas of the country and has been shown to cause damage to our fuel injectors.

BAD BAD BAD - I don't know how it was printed in the 3rd gen owner's manual, but modern cars explicitly state that the use of gasohol can cause serious fuel system damage and void your warranty.

AVOID.

an ethanol blend is not gasohol
the manual will clearly state the maximum percentage of ethanol that is considered "acceptable" by them. Normally it's about 20% and most places only do a 10% blend.

Most of the info I've found on the web points out the opposite, with a 10% blend they say it's actually good for injectors. Just thought there might be something specific to our cars.
Here's some web sites:
http://www.e10unleaded.com/mythbusters.htm
http://autorepair.about.com/cs/gener...a102100a_2.htm
http://www.ncga.com/ethanol/main/your_car.htm
http://www.jsonline.com/news/metro/mar05/312573.asp

The last link blames ethanol for injector problems, but only because it evidently was refined poorly.

Ethanol and Methanol often get confused.

METHANOL, an oil-based alcohol, WILL eat injectors and fuel system parts. Gasohol is a blend of gasoline and methanol.

ETHANOL, a grain-based alcohol, should not harm any parts of a modern (mid 80's or later) fuel system. Ethanol actually has a lot of positive properties that clean and protect modern fuel systems.

The mechanic who is blaming ethanol for the injector problem a) needs something to blame it on besides poor injector design b) doesn't know the difference between methanol and ethanol, and c) is probably embarassed at the number of Maxima injectors he has to replace.
