a new kind of door lock issue - i think
so i picked up a new master door switch (from a 93 or 94) to correct the "it takes five or six hits of the switch for auto down" issue and did the auto up mod (thanks craig) which was even easier since i had parts from 2 switches to use.
in any case, now i can't lock the doors with the key from the driver's door and the driver's door lock activity no longer affect the other 3 doors. otherwise the power door locks work. is there a seperate module i can pick up to correct this or should i just start looking for yet another replacement switch from a 90?
thanks peeps

thanks but i know that that's not it...
assumed it was a given but i'll say it so we're all on the same page...
i plugged the original master switch in an no problem - all doors can be un/locked from driver's external door lock w/ key
plug the replacement (from a '93) master switch and all doors cannot be un/locked from driver's external door lock w/ key

I focused on this: "can't lock the doors with the key"...
page BF-12, adjacent to text BF12 is the door lock connector pins. Measure resistances on both and compare. Newer assy 'lock' -signal, pin D9/2 is shorted to gnd ? ...and 'freezes' the door lock timer. (leave this connector out, and key should work)
