Maxima Trims

Well for 95 n up the models offered are GLE, SE, and GXE (5th, 20th Ann. as well). The GLE cost more than the SE and GXE, and comes with all the goodies. GXE is the basic model offered for the maximas n well even comes with hubcaps unless u requested a alloy package. As for the GLE (luxury edition) its fully loaded, wood-grain tone, leather, n automatic temperature control. As for engine n suspension performance I dont know too much on the 4th gens n up, but Ill let others post on that.
3rd gens only came in models GXE n SE. For an idea on the models check out http://www.nissandriven.com/menu_nf.html

The GLEs came with 'liquid filled computer controlled motor mounts' and urethane bushings, while the GXEs didn't. The GLE was the 'parents' car, while the GXE was the 'I could just bearly afford a nice car' model level.
