i just ordered 16" max rims, and i need to know what size and brand of tire would give me the best traction, etc. for the money. ive seen these same rims with 215/55R16 tires, but i have heard you can fit 225/55R16 tires on these rims. should i spring for the wider tires? ive also heard Kuhmo tires are the best bang for the buck, can anyone vouch for them?

as far as performance goes,ive recently been looking at mufflers, since i cant afford the $650 exhausts ive seen from Stillen. what about the Arospeed tunable bomb muffler? someone please help!

 

well i can't really help you on the tires but as far as the muffler goes, I dont have money to spend on it like you do, so I bought a Dynomax Racing Muffler for like 70 bucks or so. I really like it alot. It sounds like a v8 at low rpm and its not that loud inside the car. I dunno though....thats just my .02

 

215/50/16 wll work, but I think 225/50/16 will rub a little, but they will fit, I'm not really sure, but I know plenty of guys how are using 225's. Kuhmo, BFG and Nitto seem to be the average choices for everyone.

as far as exhaust, DON'T let Stealin'(Stillen) screw you over with their prices. Get a universal muffler (like Atulb did) for anywhere from $70-200, then go to WSP and pick up a Y-pipe, catback piping and a high flow cat converter.(not necessary to buy all at once) As for the Arospeed Tunable Bomb Muffler, you can find one for $150 at most places on the internet. In the end you'll be glad you didn't go with Stealin'!

 

in my opinion, bomb style round mufflers dont look right on the max. go with something like a dual dtm, looks really sharp on the max. i got mine from arospeed for like $115.
