Found Classic 3rd Gen Mag Commercial

Thought I'd share. Was lookin through some old mags my dad use to own, and found a nice little VE ad on the first page of a Road&Track 93' issue. Sucks lookin back at these, seein the 3rd gen at it's prime and all, knowin it will never be the same. Damn, I miss the 90's Anyway, enjoy the blast to the past.

If you would like to read it, I threw in a larger format in the link below the pic.

That's my black leather interior!

I wish it still looked that good, but sun and time will do that to leather.

Nice find, thanks for sharing. I too have a Road and Track magazine, from September 1991, where there is an SE Ad that headlines, "The most fun you can have with your suit on." And then it's capped by, "The sport-tuned, multi-port fuel-injected V6, 160 horsepower Maxima SE. Think of it as a black leather jacket in a pinstripe world. Maxima. The 4-Door Sports Car."

That was a pimpin' ad! One thing I find interesting is that 10-15 years ago, car ads were EXTREMELY wordy. Times have changed a lot in print ads. People won't read anymore (or maybe there are more dyslexic people around today, ha ha), so ads today usually drive the point home in a few words or with witty phrases.

Gee......Thanks for reminding me I have a crappy dealer installed leather interior. Cool Ad. Looking at that and comparing it to mine, I 100% certain that I didn't have leather from the factory. I don't have the suede style door inserts or the stitching down the middle of the seat like that car does.

I wish my car looked so new too.

I've got both pages of that ad scanned individually, plus two other GXE ads. I also have the first Car and Driver VE test. If anyone wants them, let me know.

Holy crap! That was simply amazing.
I had no idea there were 3rd gen commercials
still around on the net. Great find man.
Check out the SE's body roll..
Seems pretty good compared to some
of the other new mid-size sport sedans.
Damn these cars were beautiful back then.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. Got any more?
