Ok so heres the deal... I have a parts car that I want to start (ran in 2004 when I parked it... after I wrecked it) but while it was parked somebody stole the key(s) that were in the car. I might still have one lying around the house but I cant put my hands on it... so now I need to hot wire it... whats the best way to go about this without destroying anything? I have the ignition lock cylinder exposed so I can tap those wires if need be... any tips or suggestions?

Also...*shameless plug* ... if any one is interested in a 92 SE 5spd parts car... I'm willing to let it go for pretty cheap... body is trashed(except for trunk, rear bumper, and maybe the front fenders and headlights).

 

why was the key in the car to begin with?

 

Well the car wasn't going anywhere... No battery, no brakes (took the rear ones off drained the fluid), Wheels that are on it are wrong offset and bind with front brakes so It wont move with out being dragged or lifted. It was in the car for times like these... when I wanted/needed to start it. Why someone would take the key and nothing else is beyond me... but what ever... Any one wanna tell me how to hot wire it?

 

If someone wants to PM you to help you thats fine, but I'm not going to allow the general public to learn how to steal our cars from reading this thread.
