move carpet for power wire

I'm about to run another power wire under my carpet and I was wondering how do I lift the carpet up without ripping it?

open your cars doors and there will be some little door seals, take those of and u can just shove the wire under there, u will also need to take of the coloums between each door, when u get to your back seats just shuve the wire under with a coat hanger or somthing like that, u will probly also need to take off your front kick pannel

take your seat out and it will be a whole lot easier, when i ran ran my wires i took them out and and the removed the molding by the doors and the carpet just lifted up. its easier than it sounds and it looks way better than visible wires

That's what I did myself. I ran my 4ga power wire from the battery down the driver's side to the trunk as well as my blue remote wire for the amps. On the passenger side, I ran the RCAs so that it would be far enough from the power to not cause any interference.

that's not really needed. i ran all my wires down the driver side for ease of install. the rca's and power wire can be ran together without inducing any noise to your system. the noise you do get is usually caused by faulty/poor grounds. just a fyi

I'm planning on rewringing everything as well. Initially i had my power and rc's on the driverside. This time I'm going to snake it through the middle.

Yeah I'm gonna put my RCAs down the center or maybe in door sills. I also have plans for a fiberglass distribution block holder since its gonna be in my car and have a voltmeter on it.

HOWTO run the power wire through the firewall:

DRILL, DRILL, DRILL! This is the best option as it's quick and you can prevent any chance of rust by painting over the hole. Engine noise into the cabin isn't noticeable, esp since you'll be making use of those amps if you're running a power wire to the truk

Just drill a hole on the driver's side and run the power cable in the driver's side door sills and run it all the way to the trunk (no need to even take off the top cushion but you will need to take out the bottom cushion which is just a push up).

you can run the wire through the grommet where the main wireing harness goes into the cabin under the drivers side fender so you dont have to drill through the fire wall... I fit a 4 ga wire through with no problems.
