Angel eyes lot so awesome but just a question...Are there any available for our 3rd generation Maximas?

And also, do they make clear headlights for 3rd gens?

Nope only headlight mod is the E36 conversion or Cefiro (not for the faint of heart). It's an upgrade if done right.

Is it a pain in the butt to wire and hookup these E36 headlights, or is it pretty straight-forward?

So basically all I have to look for is BMW e36 headlights? Does it matter what year the e36 is?

Are there any restrictions as to what type of light it is, I want to make sure I get the right one.

supercross....seriously think before you ask another question. there was a link with a writeup, read it and you should be good. not trying to flame you (ok, maybe a lil) but read the stickies and read what people reply with.

I've read a lot tripleGmax, but when I went on eBay and searched for e36 headlights w/ angel eyes it came up with a lot of headlights, some with different shapes, yet still for the e36. I know the write up says around the year '95, but alot don't have years on them and some just say like 92-98.

ok cool. those years will work, but make sure when you get them, that you dont get the ones that have corners already on them, make them prettty hard to install. also if you go with the usdm e-36 lights you wont need to cut any body, just pound the rad. support a bit. otherwise with the angel eyes, youll probably cut stuff.

these threads all prove how tired errrbody is of reteaching the art of bimmer headlights

http://www.angelfire.com/trek/tko/bmw_conversion/ this writeup is better and has great pics on what to cut.

When you buy the kit off of eBay does it typically come with the headlamps or do you have to go out and get some of those?

The ones that I have are Projectors with H7 bulbs. Not to be confused with HID projectors.

You can actaully buy projectors made for hids. Then you need the Ballast to power them and fabricate you stock housing. But that can be reaaallly pricing.

going for the e36 + angel eyes , would that be a direct fitted replacement or would there have to be work done to fit them?

Here are a few shots of the Angel eyes in my car. By the way, I only had them in for about 6 days before it got stolen; this stuff makes them a lot more of a target.

I couldn't like the look of them more and agree with you more, if I got them I know they'ed get stolen. I feel really bad about that, thats a sick look with the blue.

I bought them from a fellow org'er....I don't recall whom it was right now. He did three things...first, buy BMW E36 headlights from an online source or from a Bimmer stealership. Second, buy the LED angel eyes online, there are a couple of different companies that offer these. Finally, buy a pair of clear GTO headlight covers that go over the headlights and the side markers. These clear covers are the key to making the set up look good, it makes everything look flush.

You will have to take the headlight assemply apart to put the angel eyes in and make sure you seal it up good (read: waterproof!). Also the GTO covers are attached by a few pieces of velcrow. Kind of ghetto but it is hidden well when the hood comes down, you would never know it.

After that, follow the instructions online, there are a few good write ups. Here are a few more shots:

Damn I miss this car!

If that is for new ones then it isn't that bad but you can find ones a lot cheaper on eBay. Plus, look for the glass ones, not plastic. Plastic tends to cloud and yellow as it ages.

yea but im like retarded and if i try to find them on ebay , im bound to grab myself the wrong ones..

edit; has anyone switched out their corner lights with something differant to look good with the angel eyes , are their any good looking replacements for the corner lights at all .... can corner lights even be replaced lol. er they can but like do they make anything just for the corners or do they all come attached with the regular lights

cause it says to get the e36 lights without corners on them , wondering if theirs anything to switch it up with.
