clay bar loves my car *PICS*
Well, looks like I caught the summer "I'm bored and want to mess with my car" plague. Today it was the mother's clay bar package. The first pic is me at checkers right after I bought it. You can see just how poopy the VG was looking.
And then....
You can see the AZ sunsets in this one, lol.
Just wanted to show my back up car. As a review, the clay bar works pretty nicely. SC johnson all purpose paste wax (the kind you put on furniture) was used on the hood because it was severely nasty (as in the first pic) and the clay bar/other car waxes wouldn't remove it.

photobucket is under "maintenance". Should be up again.
Edit: The clay bar didn't give me the shine, but smoothed out my paint. The mothers liquid cleaner/wax that came in the kit helped me with that.

I clay barred my 91se for 6 hours. It seems excessive but I had little rust colored pinhole circles over the entire body (It was not surface rust though...), and I find it hard to believe that it had EVER been waxed. I applied more force to the little spots (mothers says "dont apply too much pressure) and now I can safley say my car is 3-4 shades brighter white than before!!!! I followed up with new dupont teflon wax, and I strongly reccomend it.
