Black Out Headlights And Tailights

WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO BLACK OUT MY HEAD LIGHT AND TAILIGHTS?

You could, but it will chip off easily because it won't adhere too well with glass. Nothing really does. The GTO covers would look alot cleaner. Seamless betwean the corner and headlight.

Some ppl have used it on the inside and it looks like crap. Spray it on the outside. And clear coat to protect it.

i just bout some niiteshade and im gonna apply it tommrow. since im on a low budget im gonna try the headlights tooo. ill let u all know how it looks.

Safety is more important than looks. Do not tint your headlights because 1. your night vision will be greatly limited and 2. the cops will give you a ticket.

At least with the covers you can pull them off at night.

I thought the fad of tinting your headlights (and tinted covers) went away years ago...guess I was wrong.

What happens when some SUV slams into your maxima and totals it? Then you have no recourse because you tinted your taillights so much the brake light looks like the running lights? Anyone guess?

I think it illegal to tint your headlights. The reason that the gto covers are legal, is because they can be removed fro night driving.....

the legality of the GTS covers is based on state laws...so in some states that are illegal all together, day or night.

Just do the BMW conversion like everyone else has done.


With that said, you could pull the glass covers off the lights and spray paint the inner parts (not the reflector) black. It would give it a somewhat tinted look.

So i sprayed the the taillights and they look nice , but i desided not to do the headlights because of the feedback from the posts. thanks for the advise it looks good.

and with a 92 maxima , you got the whole thing across the trunklid , does that whole thing get sprayed with the niteshade or do you leave it alone and just do the 2 taillights. hummmm
