when i did it it sprayed on pretty thin so i did two coats.

 

That's the with Nite Shades on and I'm that there is some way you can mess up, but it's just how you well you are able to spray as many coats on there as you want. I was 17 when I did mine which was 3 three years ago and and it was pretty easy for me so it's not that hard and I think it's pretty hard to mess up.

 

you put tape over the maxima letters or something , cause iwth mine it runs across red and white and i dont feel like losing the word maxima there , but im probally gonna want to spray them cause i like how it looks , how does the light shine through those things anyways?

I've been pulled over once by the pissy state patrol, but other then, I have been pulled over by for something like tabs and the cop has said nothing. I don't know if they are considered like taillight covers or not, but I'm nut sure

it is technically illegal, but most cops won't bother writing you a ticket for it.
personally, I prefer the funtionality of people being able to see my tailights from FAR AWAY to having the light output reduced.

 

I dont think it would be to hard to remove it . but then again i have no idea. ill read the spray can and let u kno.

 

how did you get the word maxima to stay in the middle without spraying over it ? masking / duck tape?

 

if you're talking to me, I just masked everything off and put a very light coat over the whole panel

I don't know if this is any cancellation, but ever since I got pulled over, I drive with the parking lights on while on the highway so that there is some red showing through, kind of way to make sure if any cop does see them, he won't see the tinted taillights, just some parking lights that are a little bit dimmer and i'm sure they won't even think to notice

 

yea i actully got pulled over for like one out 2 of the brake light bulbs on the passenger side was out. So he gave me a repair order for that, my "modified exhaust" my 20% tint and my "tail light cover" so i have to get a polices signature in the next 30 days saying i fixed all this or else its like a 150 $ ticket for all that Sh**.

 

how much is a ticket for blacked taillights , also how dark did you make them , i doubt im gonna completly black them out , but im gona make them darker ... ALSO, how do you drive with your parking lights on all the time lol.
