General Injector Questions
Hello, i have a 93 gxe with 3 injectors that have died, ive been watching ebay, and several of the injectors I have found, are listed as fitting 89 through 92.....but I have a 93? Arent they the same up to 94? I know there is 2 different kinds,(the 2 dot colors) and all that matters is that all 6 are the same dot color. Will these injectors fit my car? Also, there are listings for rebuilt injectors that are very inexpensive compared to nonrebuilt ones, the brand name on them is Python, has anyone had any experience with them? Thanks again,
Nick

the GXEs have the same motor 89-94, and the 89-92 SE's have the same motor as the GXE's. Which is the VG30E. The 92-94 SE's have the VE30DE.
Dont buy rebuilt injectors. They wont last. Ive got a parts car I can take a whole set off if youre interested. PM me.

ok, just to give some seriously useful info
89-92 VG is one style of injector
93-94 VG and 92-94 VE have another style of injector
the Connector on the earlier one is thicker than the later one.
the later VG and VE injectors are PHYSICALLY interchangeable but the VE should flow more (the VE and VQ30 use the same injector BTW)
as has been said before, don't trust rebuilt injectors. the defect rate is too high on them

I know its been said before, but let me throw in my 2 cents. I bought a used 92 GXE in Feb. And 3 injectors went quickly. I looked over all the work that had been done and low and behold 6 injectors were changed less than a year ago and they used refurbed. Now before I looked through my work papers, I was very close to buying refurbs, at $37 each you cant beat it right? But then I read around and decided to get the new ones from Internetautomart, and they cost almost 3x as much, but I am very confident that they will last. Brian (internetautomart) cut me a great deal on them. The job is fairly easy to do yourself, just make sure you change the leaky ones. I mistakingly changed a good one and I still have a minor leak. I plan on getting another new one and changing it when it cools down here. From what I have read and experienced first hand, stay away from refurbs.
