After weeks of searching a came across a gem of a 5spd SE. It is a 92 SE 5spd with only 59,000 miles. Interior is in absolutely flawless condition and the outside is great with only a waxing needed. I paid $6500.00 which seems like a steal. An older professional gentleman owned it so it is ofcourse bone stock so what is some advise on upgrades?

get a POP intake, advance the timing to 20 BTDC and some MaD dRiViNg SkIlLz and you now run a 14.8 1/4. Congrats on purchasing one of the rarer maximas that many desire.

Thanks guys. I'm really impressed with the smoothness and overall power of the 5spd and really happy about the super low 59000 miles. Hopefully by July I'll have the intake system, JWT chip, and full exhaust system. Oh by the way, what is the best 0-60 you guys have come up with? I tried running it the other night with a friend and a stopwatch and the best one I had was 7.5. I've heard of some doing it in like 6.7. How do you balance wheel spin with lugging the engine?

congrats on the buy! that's a damn good price!

Where are you located, so I can come steal it? I've been trying to find a 92-94 5 spd for the last month and a half, and there's only ONE within 200 miles and I hate the color.

Matt... don't buy a color you hate. Otherwise you'll end up like me and regret it. Goodluck finding a VE.. I'm on a lookout too but it's not easy to find in 5-spd.

Its pretty strange how I found my 5spd. I was up late one night on the internet and was on autotrader.com. I typed in a search for 92-94 Maximas at any price within any distance. I got like 500 or so listings. The fourth one from the top was bright red and only had 59000 miles. I was ecstatic but figured it would be so far away. When I type in to get the phone number it was a local area code and when I called he was only 45 minutes from my house! The rest is history.
