Well i put a 240sx steering wheel on my maxima, so if the grant wheel has an adapter to fit the 240 i am pretty sure it will fit your maxima.

Man, you should have held out for one with the cruise buttons on it.

I have a s13 wheel in my car. It is the same as a z32 steering wheel, except it has the Nissan logo instead of a Z. I also keep my cruise buttons. I believe you can find non-airbag wheels that will fit from 90-92 240sx, 300zx and the Stanza. The Stanza wheel and some of the 240sx wheels are smaller, like the one mtnbikeair has.

I remember one of the New Zealand or Australian guys had a pretty sharp looking aftermarket steering wheel in his car. NismoBaron or EdzMax? I can't remember.

Yeah the cruise control would have been nice, but i got the steering wheel off of ebay for like 19 dollars shipped, so it was alright.

Yeah Red92maxSE's looks to have thicker spokes and his leather is lighter. Also his has a nissan symbol in it where mine was just imprinted. My steering wheel was not as wide as the stock maxima one... i dont know about Red's.

What did you do about the cruise control? Did you just stop using it, or did you leave the control wiring hanging somewhere under your dash?

Well there wasnt a cruise control wire to be hanging under my dash... its connected thru the steering wheel. But since i never drive long distances on a high way i didnt feel the need for it.

My steering wheel is black leather. It just looks lighter because of the lighting in the picture.

The steering wheel I have is a little thicker and slightly smaller than my stock 4-spoke one. It feels sportier, but it took me a little while to get used to the different spoke pattern.

I also got mine for $20 off ebay, but with shipping it was $30, so you have me there. The extra $11 is definitely worth it to keep my cruise. I don't drive my car very much (maybe only 2 days a week) but I take it out for long trips, like to Seattle (3.5 hours each way) or Portland (about an hour each way).

I changed out my steering wheel with this momo one. I lost the cruise control, but I've never used it anyways, so no big loss. Here's a pic.

That write-up on saving the cruise and horn sounds like it will work in our maximas too. I just might try it.

I think people in Ebay are starting to sell adapters for our cars, but yeah, the 240sx would work, (Since the stockers will fit our cars no problem). As a personal preference, I like the "fatter" version of the 240sx steering wheel, it has a nice stock look to it, and seemed like it actually belongs there.

What's the mm diameter on that one compared to the 240sx and ours? Did it improve handling? I have a feeling my stock steering wheel is too wide and prevents more direct cornering.

The diameter is 11.8" or 300mm It's definitely smaller than the stock steering wheel. IMO I would say unless you want the stock look get an aftermarket steering wheel. You definitely have a tighter turning radius.
