I'm hearing a constant clicking noise from my 93 VE. It's a constant sound that sounds like a bike chain that's not aligned with the gear right and so starts to click. I read somewhere that this is a normal issue with the timing chain??

 

depending on the sound it may be your VTCs

 

that seems like a pretty safe guess

 

What's a VTC and can/how it be fixed?

I listened to it again and decided it's not so much a click. It is fast paced and constant, but more muffled & "thick" than a raw metallic click.

yeah and that info is also in the stickies...thats why its always good to read through the stickies. There is a lot of info about our cars in there.

Just do the rewire trick for now and worry about rebuilding or replacing later.
