Axle Replacement

So I need to replace the driver side axle. How do I break down the VIN to see if I have Limited Slip?
The Max is auto without ABS.

There should be a V at the end of your transmission code...

Though I am pretty sure the vlsd came only in the 5 speed VE models.

I just replaced mine. But it makes a "clunk" sound when I turn the steering wheel sometimes. Does anyone know if this is normal?

really strange if it's a new axle. are you sure it's really coming from the axle and not the ball joint? mine sounded like that when the ball joint was out. especially when going over bumps.

if it's a used axle you should really check it out more throughly. jack the front and move the wheel back and forth and see if it clunks. see if it plays any. it shouldn't. if it plays and clunks then replace it with a new axle.
