Problem with Wipers

I went to use my wipers today and they suddenly didnt work. When I got home I opened the top assembly and was thinking maybe it was the motor. However, when I opened it I can see and hear the motor spinning. The two wires are connected together by a cap that goes on top the first wiper and when I opened it they werent connected. I know this is hard to understand but if you;ve ever seen it you'll know what im talking about. Anyhow, I put the cap back on but it doesnt stay. What do you suggest? Is there any kind of adhesive or something I can put on it to make it stay?

This happened to our Sentra awhile back. I cant remember exactly how we fixed it but We used a hammer or something hard and stuck the to rods together and hit them repeatedly till they seemed like they would say after lots of trials we finally got them to stay together. If they still wont say connected maybe try Liquid nail. Hope this helps.

Just get a new wiper likage from dealer. About $15 ish.
Not too difficult to install but need a few try with strong fingers. You will know what i am talking about when you get to it.
good luck.

I wouldnt mind buying it but it looks like too much of a pain in da neck to change. I looked at it and didn't even know were to start, hammer is sounding pretty good about now. I was also tinking about JB Weld.

Changeing out the wiper trans isn' that hard of a job actually! They have plastic pivot sockets and they wear out. It's not uncommon, I sold alot of them when I worked at an autowreckers. Hammering them into place will work sometimes, but it all depands on how worn the sockets are. I'd just replace the whole setup if I were you. It's kinda tricky, but the hardest part is snaking it out of there and then popping the new sockets over the pivot ball.

Crazy glue is your friend! Mine popped out last year. You need to have the wiper in a caertain angle, put the glue on and than connect the cap back. You guyz are right you gonna need strong hand to give it a good pressure.
I did mine last Nov and it is still working.
Good luck!

Another for about 6.000.000.000, new day for 100.000, doesnt arrive at all =dead end for 50.000 [average, human race, globally]...

The spot is stupidly tight in max. In stanza [bluebird] it has been cut open at factory, so no problem poppin that in. Maybe u can cut it also open?

One possibility I've used is that you obtain proper (crowbar -like) tool and have leverage from chassis on top of the arm joint 'cup' as it is placed on the motor joint.
Extar Lever arm - backing on chassis.

i just fixed this problem on my car the other day its simple. Open the top assembly. Look in the 2 sections where u can see the wiper linkage. what probably happened is the linkage came apart. for me all i had to do was snap them back together. i soldered the connection.
