strut tower deterioration

Hey, in the ongoing repairs of my 93 GXE, I need to replace my driver's side strut tower. It has rusted to the point where its splitting horizontally across the middle. Has anyone had experience with this? what's the best way to go?
1 Have a piece fabricated and welded in
2 Used?
3 New?
4 Order the whole quarter panel w/ strut tower section?
Thanks guys for any suggestions.

I would get a piece fabbed up with reinforcements and have it welded in.... but I am sorry to say I wouldnt trust it.Depending how bad it is I am thinking that you are better off to sell or prt it out and maybe buy a SE in better shape...

If it was osmehting simple like a rocker panel then fine replace it but to have a very important piece of the chassis welded together to me is not a very good idea for a daily car.I have seen race cars that had spot welded strut towers to increase the rigidity of the piece but that is for us eon a closed course wiht the proper safety involved.

Woudnt want to see a maxima driver end up hurt or hurting others over something like this

I'd junk the car myself.
it's not worth it in my opinion to repair it. Onc e rust starts, it stays
