Weird starting problem

A couple of days ago, I started my car and started driving when, after about a minute, I though I heard some noises. so I pulled over and after making sure that everything was OK, I got back in and the car would'nt start. The seat belt wouldnt move, gauge lights wouldnt come on, nothing. I remember this same thing happening sometime back and after about 15 minutes it started up back then, so I decided to just sit back and wait. After a couple of minutes, the car still wouldnt start, but the antenna started going up by itself ( radio wasnt on) and the seat belt moved intermittently and the shift lock started engaging and disengaging. After 10 more minutes, the gauge lights (brake light, check engine) finally came back on, but still not enough juice for car to start. Eventually after about 5 more minutes, the car started. Its been running fine now, but I am trying to figure out what exactly caused this. The car was acting like the battery was completely drained. The positive terminal of the car was loose enough for me to wriggle it free by hand, but not sure if that was the cause. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Causes: Lack of oldie basic maintenance. And because of that, possibly also gnd wire rotten off... take batt & tray off and rewire.

if your battery cable is loose enough to wiggle by hand then the connection between the battery post and cable is sporadic at best and will result in the symptoms you've mentioned.
tighten that beatch up and drive happy.

You may be right, Brian. I forgot to mention this earlier, but before the car finally started, I wiggled the cable loose and then re connected it. Right after I did that, the car started up. I'll tighten that sucker up right away. Thanks for the help guys.

Yea that was definitly your problem, But to make sure you dont have a similar problem take the battery out and the battery trey and check the wire wiking gave a pic of. On my new max it was almost rusted through so while its imobile Im going to fix that so I dont have to worry about it at all.
