What a bummer

Today I replaced a noisy lifter on the #6 cylinder on my 91 SE. Of course I had to remove the intake plenum and hoses or whatever. Alot of my hoses cracked in half and had to be replaced. After putting everything back together, I started it up and now its not firing on the #2 cylinder and "check engine" light is on. I checked to make sure cylinder was gettin spark and checked ok. So next I took the spark plug out and it was dry. When I push on the injector plug the cylinder comes to life and the engine is smooth. When I let go of the injector plug it stops firing again. Is the injector bad or maybe just a bad connection? Now tomorrow I have to take it all back apart again cause it's impossible to remove that injectors plug with the intake plenum in the way. WHAT A BUMMER

I'm gonna guess that the injector needs to be reseated, and maybe a new set of o'rings

Can this be done to just this one injector or do I have to reseat all of them. The rest are fine.

you only need to reseat one if reseating is all it needs. I replaced just one injector, and the R&R is focused on one single injector, not the entire rail.

When I had my upper IM off I took off my injector connectors off and used some die-eletric greese on them to prevent your problem. There was a lot of corrosion in there so Im sure it helped.

Thanks everyone. I took the upper IM off again today and cleaned the connector. Put it all back together and running like brand new now.
