People That Bought Tokico Struts
I have a question about the shipping of these. How were they shipped to you and was th cost extremely high? I was told that ups wouldnt ship them since they are gas charged and that ups wants a very very large amount for shipping.
The shipping is not to me but to a friend in the US so they do not cross the border becasue I knwo sometimes that can be a problem. They sell them on ebay and I know members on here bought them from other members and such, also I know internetautomart sells them so how do you ship them and is the cost of shipping outrageous?

I ship them regular UPS ground.
the problem is that you need to be certified to ship them as they are considered a hazardous material. (they can explode in an airplane from the pressure)
I also have someone who is certified and ships them for me.

From the org member MyGreenMax94.
I have seen people sell them on here in the classifieds a bunch of times and no one ever mentioned any problem in having them shipped.
OK I just got off the phone wiht the people at tokico (VERY HELPFUL) and they said it is sdue to the description that was given about the item,They said to just say "car shocks" and they are fine to ship, that is how they ship them out unless it is cross border travel or the items are shipped to a business that may have them shipped cross border. They said that soon as they say "gas charged" a red flag goes up and no one will ship them,Or they charge extra money.
