Question...I started noticing that the auto tranny in my 92 gxe (175,000 miles) occasionally shifts hard from 1st to 2nd. I change my tranny fluid every 30-35k miles since I bought it (bought it new). It doesn't do this all the time, however it seems to do it more when the car is cold. Any ideas???

nissan has a TSB on hard shifting there a part u have to buy and it will supposedly fix it.... ill get the tsb #

 

whats a tsb,this isnt a sign my trannys goin...i just put in cooler,btw ray, are you gonna let us do some mods at your lot for meet

 

tecnical servivce bulliten...... thats when nissan adresses a problem with a particular car and the give a number to it
like if ur in the east coast u probably got the gas filler recall well to nissan that has a tsb mumber to it


as for mods now i have no clue if we r haveing the meet at my lot or at the park i dont know what the deal is cause some body got to let me know.......


yes u can do ur mods but mostly the simple kind no jacks no lifting cars of any kind no oil changes no racing..... i just got the lot and opened 3 weeks ago.....

 

the meet is lsp,but we are not aloud to mod,i know some people want to mod little,maybe at the meet things could get organized so that a group trip to ur lot would be arranged,me, i need a hole cut for cai nuttin major

 

Thanks ray! I'll be on the lookout for the tsb# (I didn't even think of considering that Nissan would have issued a tsb...I just chaulked it up to the car's age 175+k miles).

You got a compustar alarm too? Cool deal. I've had mine in for over a year now. Did you get the extended antenna with it? You know you can leave the car on like a turbo timer for 15 minutes.

Well anyway, I think there's 3 of us on this board with that alarm now.

 

u have i have the old one...... the new one the 200s is real cool....my store installs them

did get the extend range antenna but did get it to remote start from 3 block away

 

i have the old one too. They have color LCDs out now right? Yea mine is gray screen. I have two remotes though because the first alarm i got was faulty so i sent it back and they send me a whole new one. It's a good thing because I took my car to get it painted and the dumbasses lost the battery cover to my remote so I had to take off the cover from my 2nd remote.

How much do you sell yours for and where are you from?

now i tried to make work like a turbo timer but it wouldnlet me take out my key.....

people try and say the crimestoppper one is the same thing and its not and they sell that one for 650
