antenna question

i wanted to take my antenna out, fill up the hole and put one of those slick little antennas on that go on the roof and angle out. how difficult is it to route your antenna line up to the roof so that the antenna can be hooked up? has anyone done this. i saw it on someones photoshoped max and i thought it looked sweet.
