Adjusting rear discbrake help

I replaced the pads for my rear disc brake. Now my emergency hand brake is not working properly since I screwed to push the caliper back to make room for the new pads. Can some give the the instruction on how to adjust the rear disc brake. ( I tried backing up and brake about 5 times. Also tried setting (pull and release) the hand brake 20 times.

I set the hand brake with the gear on Drive. The car is not moving but stepping on the gas padle a little the car will move with ease. Is this normal?

as i understand it, rear discs are "adjusted" by several HARD brakes at the pedal and also at the e-brake handle - i repeat HARD brakes...

if you have the car in gear and the rear brakes hold it from moving, i'd think that's pretty good. another test i've seen done (and don't try this at home) is driving at low speeds and then pulling the e-brake hard to lock up the rear...

Your e brake cables my be broke/seized up or the e brake levers on the calipers may be seized up......

Just as posted , if your e-brake cable is not broken, just keep pulling the e-brake handle, and also by stepping on the brake. caliper/piston will adjust in due time.
