Strange sound coming from dash? Any thoughts?

I've noticed this strange sound coming from the dash (?) on my 90SE 5spd. It's hard to describe, so bear with me. I usually notice it when accelerating kinda hard in 1st and 2nd (though it's not limited to those gears). I also hear it at random times when just cruising on open roads, normal driving conditions.
It sounds kinda like a cricket chirping in a way, or like the sound of air getting sucked into liquid. I don't really have a way to record the sound, and it happens at random times, so it would be a challenge at that. To be honest, I haven't really looked into this - hasn't been a major concern, but it gets annoying. Any suggestions? Ever heard this before?

From: Space is the place?
air in your cooling/heating system. bleed it and it should go away.

I had a noise like a cricket, it was the grille, also check the air filter housing. If it sounds like a waterfall, bleed the coolant system.

Thanks, I had a pretty good feeling it was in the heat/cooling - just figured I'd ask if anyone else has had this and to see if it was something more involved (meaning = I'd just put up with it for a while). I have a few other things to work on this weekend, so I'll check it out.
